Weird Old Books!

You might have noticed that things are looking a little different around here! Or, if this is your first time here, maybe you're wondering what this place is all about.
Let me say the same to both parties: Welcome!
I have been blogging on and off again for some time, and getting very little traction. Every month, I would struggle to think of a topic that hasn't already been written about a million times. There was no apparent theme, and I couldn't really blame new readers for not sticking around. Even I was bored.
This is my official re-branding (or, branding, since there wasn't much of one before!) of my poor old blog.
Welcome to:

What can you expect from "Weird Old Books"? Well, mostly... weird...old...books.
There are a lot of blogs dedicated to recent New York Times bestsellers, as well as what is trending on BookTok, Bookstagram, and BookTube. This is not that. Instead, I would like to draw your attention to forgotten favorites, quirky backlist books and oddballs that you've hopefully never heard of.
We are all getting the headlines about the bestsellers of today. But let's read bravely! Let's give an old book a chance!
Each month, I'm going to review a weird, old book. When I can, I will include links to places like thriftbooks.com, in case you are interested in reading the same weird, old book that I did. If not, maybe you can look up the author and find another backlist title that no one has read in a while, or maybe you will be inspired to go out and find your own weird, old book.
I will also try to include a recommendation for a beverage to go along with my weird, old book. After the blog goes live, there will be an opportunity for someone to purchase my weird, old book, and a surprise goody!
I'm looking forward to my first book review, expected on April 25, 2025. I hope you are, too. ❤️
